Vitamin _D3 Streuli Prophylax, oral solution is an oily oral solution containing cholecalciferol (vitamin _D3).

Humans can normally produce vitamin _D3 themselves in the skin under the influence of sunlight.

Vitamin _D3 is necessary for the absorption of calcium from food and is essential for normal bone and tooth formation.

In case of insufficient exposure to sunlight, insufficient intake of vitamin _D3-enriched foods, as well as an increased need for vitamin D3_during growth, pregnancy and breastfeeding, this vitamin must be additionally supplied to the body.

Vitamin _D3 Streuli Prophylax, oral solution is used for the following conditions:

• Prevention of bone softening in children (rickets);
• Prevention of bone softening in adults (osteomalacia);
• Prevention of vitamin D deficiency in otherwise healthy people without impaired food intake (without resorption disorders)
• Substitution during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
