Tanno-Hermal Lotio is a medical product that has a drying effect on weeping, infected skin conditions, primarily due to the physico-chemical, astringent properties of the synthetic tanning agent it contains. The synthetic tanning agent and the solids zinc oxide and talcum bind wound secretions and form a protective film over the pathologically altered areas of skin. The drying out of inflamed, weeping areas of skin and the associated formation of scabs removes the breeding ground for bacteria and fungi and counteracts the further spread of the skin infection. A side effect of the dehydration is the noticeable relief of itching and irritation due to the protective film on the affected skin areas. In this way, Tanno-Hermal Lotio protects the irritated skin so that it can regenerate undisturbed.

Use Tanno-Hermal Lotio to dry out wound secretions caused by inflammatory, weeping and itchy superficial skin conditions.

Tanno-Hermal Lotio is particularly suitable for use in skin folds (armpits, genital-anal area, under the breast, between the thighs, fingers and toes), as a supportive treatment for nappy dermatitis and for the local treatment of itchy or weeping skin rashes. Tanno-Hermal Lotio can also be used to treat increased perspiration (hyperhidrosis).

Talcum and zinc oxide in Tanno-Hermal Lotio particularly support the drying out of fluid-filled skin blisters, e.g. chickenpox, cold sores (herpes labialis).

Itching and oozing are thus secondarily alleviated.
