Tanno-Hermal Cream is a medical product that has a drying effect and stabilises the skin barrier, primarily due to the astringent properties of the synthetic tanning agent it contains. Synthetic tanning agent forms a protective film over the pathologically altered areas of skin. By drying out inflammatory, oozing skin areas and the associated scab formation, bacteria and fungi are deprived of a breeding ground and the further spread of the skin infection is counteracted. A side effect of the dehydration is the noticeable relief of itching and irritation due to the protective film on the affected skin areas. Tanno-Hermal cream thus supports the skin barrier so that it can renew itself undisturbed.

The favourable effect of tannins on the skin has been known for decades: A bath with oak bark, a compress with blueberries or black tea. A whole range of barks and leaves contain tannins of varying composition. Tanno-Hermal Cream contains a synthetic tanning agent that is long-lasting and does not stain.

Use Tanno-Hermal Cream to stabilise the skin barrier in the case of inflammatory and itchy superficial skin conditions. Tanno-Hermal Cream is particularly suitable for use on eczema such as neurodermatitis or lip eczema and for treating itchy skin rashes. By forming a film on the skin, Tanno-Hermal Cream supports the healing of irritations in the nappy area.
