Due to its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect, Pyralvex is also prescribed by a doctor for the treatment of acute and chronic inflammation of the oral mucosa and gums, aphthae, pyorrhoea of the dental cavities and eruption of teeth.

Pyralvex may only be used in adolescents with fever associated with a viral illness if prescribed by a doctor and only as a second-line treatment (see "When should Pyralvex be used with caution?").
