The Me Luna® menstrual cup is inserted into the vagina during menstruation to collect menstrual blood safely and odourlessly. The blood is not absorbed as with tampons or pads, but collected (between 8 ml and 30 ml of fluid depending on the model) and emptied regularly when going to the toilet.

The Me Luna® mentruation cup has been manufactured in Germany since 2009. It is constantly being developed further, taking into account the needs of customers. It is available in eight sizes and three degrees of softness.

Degree of softness:

A menstrual cup should be easy to insert and then fully unfold inside the vagina. This is the only way it can function perfectly and seal properly and safely collect the blood.

The pressure of the surrounding muscles must not prevent the menstrual cup from unfolding. The material must therefore have a certain amount of elasticity. On the other hand, the material should not be uncomfortably hard, as a menstrual cup should not cause any feeling of pressure. How this is perceived also depends on the condition of the pelvic floor muscles and the chosen size.

Me Luna® Sport is suitable for sporty women whose pelvic floor muscles are particularly strong.

The material of the Me Luna® Sport is 25% harder than the Me Luna® Classic and has a high degree of elasticity. When you compress it, you can feel the force with which it springs back immediately. Folding and retracting the Me Luna® Sport is somewhat more difficult. The high elasticity ensures that it can unfold perfectly even under strong pressure from the surrounding muscles and therefore stays tight even during sporting activities.

Me Luna® Classic: The normal-soft menstrual cup for women with normally developed pelvic floor muscles who have previously been able to use tampons without pain or discomfort.

Me Luna® Soft: The softer menstrual cup variant for women who feel pressure or pain when using tampons or have weakened pelvic floor muscles

Size recommendations:

Available in various sizes, tailored to the different needs of our customers.

Criteria for the choice of size can be: menstrual flow, vaginal births, your pelvic floor muscles and the position of the cervix during menstruation.

Size S: Often used by young women with good musculature and for lighter periods.

Size M: Often used by women of all ages with normal musculature and moderate menstrual flow.

Size L: Often used by women with heavier menstruation and after vaginal births.

Size XL: Used by women who have already given birth, usually with very heavy menstruation.

The shortened Me Luna® SHORTY models are suitable for women with a particularly low cervix, pelvic floor weakness, uterine prolapse, etc.
