Gyno-Canesten vaginal tablets contain the active ingredient clotrimazole and are used to treat fungal infections in the genital area.

When should you see a doctor?

If the symptoms of a genital fungal disease (e.g. itching, redness, increased but odourless vaginal discharge, possible swelling of the external genitalia) occur for the first time, either together or individually, please consult your doctor. He or she will make the correct diagnosis of your condition and also help you with the appropriate medication. Please also consult your doctor if the symptoms persist for more than 7 days despite treatment, if you have another such fungal infection within 2 months, if you have more than 4 relapses (recurrences) per year, if you are pregnant or if you suspect that you are pregnant.

If you are under 18 years of age or have ever had intolerance reactions to antifungal medicines, also consult your doctor.

In all other cases, treatment is possible on the basis of specialist advice from your pharmacist or chemist.
