Gripe Water Solution 150 ml

Product features Woodward's Gripe Water is a drinking solution to relieve flatulence and colic in babies. It contains dill oil and sodium bicarbonate. Dill oil warms and relaxes the baby's tummy by dissolving trapped air bubbles. Sodium bicarbonate neutralises the acids in a baby's stomach. The result of Woodward's Gripe Water is often a resounding belch. Colic is caused by muscle spasms and excess acid that occurs when air bubbles form in the baby's tummy. The air bubbles are trapped in the stomach, causing the baby to think it is full of food. This event causes the stomach to produce acid that should normally break down the food particles. These acids are not necessary and can cause irritation. As the stomach is filled with air bubbles, the muscles cannot relax, causing spasms and cramps. Directions for use Shake Woodward's Gripe Water well. This solution can be given between or after each meal up to 6 times in a 24 hour period. Dosage Babies less than one month old: do not use Babies aged 1 to 6 months: 1 tablespoon of 5 ml Babies aged 6 to 12 months: 2 tablespoons of 5 ml Composition Dill seed oil without terpenes 2.3 mg / 5 ml, sodium bicarbonate 52.5 mg / 5 ml, sodium, maltitol, E215, E217, E219 Precautions Read the instructions for Woodward's Gripe Water carefully before use. Check that the cap is not damaged before first use. Do not use this solution on infants with renal failure or with hypersensitivity to the following preservatives: E215, E217 and E219. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice. Further information Woodward's Gripe Water contains no alcohol, sugar or colouring. Storage Do not store above 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not store Woodward's Gripe Water for more than 14 days after opening.
