Geli-Stop 50 Tabletten

Geli-Stop are tablets for use in acute diarrhoea. They take effect shortly after ingestion. The urge to defecate disappears, the bowel movements become less frequent and the stools become consistent again. The effect of Geli-Stop is based on pectin, tannin albuminate and magnesium peroxide. Due to its swelling properties, pectin has a strong water-binding and therefore constipating effect. It also has a high absorption capacity for bacteria and toxic metabolic products. Tannin albuminate is a non-irritating tannic acid compound that has an anti-inflammatory effect on the intestinal mucosa and therefore also has a constipating effect. Magnesium peroxide inhibits fermentation processes by releasing oxygen. The combination of the three active ingredients also has a disinfectant effect.
