Properties

The tropical tonka tree produces fruits with extremely aromatic black seeds, the tonka beans. The essential oil extracted from it, with its high coumarin content and typical sweet caramel scent, forms a warm, oriental base in many perfumes. In South American tradition, tonka is also used as an insect repellent.
Vegan.

Application

For room scenting and personal aroma care. Consult specialised literature for use in aromatherapy.
