Product details

Elevit Pronatal contains 12 vitamins, 3 minerals and 4 trace elements that are tailored to the needs of pregnant and breastfeeding women. These active ingredients cannot be produced by the organism itself, but must be supplied with food. They are essential for the maintenance of all life processes such as respiration, digestion, energy production, reproduction, growth, etc. and also serve as building blocks for tissues and organs.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women have an increased metabolism, as they not only have to nourish their own organism, but also that of their child. They therefore need 50-100% more vitamins and minerals than non-pregnant women. In the case of iron, which is essential for haematopoiesis, the requirement triples and often reaches a level that can no longer be met even with a balanced diet.

A good supply of the vitamin folic acid can reduce the risk of severe malformations (e.g. spina bifida = "open back") in the foetus. The very first weeks of pregnancy are crucial for this. Elevit Pronatal should therefore be taken before pregnancy, so that an adequate supply of vital substances is already guaranteed at the beginning of pregnancy.

The active ingredients contained in Elevit Pronatal are dosed in such a way that they ensure the supply of nutrients to mother and child even if a balanced diet is not always guaranteed (work, lack of vegetables in winter, frequent vomiting, etc.). Elevit Pronatal thus prevents the occurrence of deficiency symptoms that can manifest themselves in the mother as tiredness or moodiness. It also prevents anaemia caused by iron and folic acid deficiency, so that in many cases there is no need for appropriate treatment.
