Doxiproct rectal ointment contains the following active ingredients: calcium dobesilate, which has a normalising effect on the resistance and permeability of the wall of the small blood vessels - the so-called capillaries - and lidocaine, a locally acting, pain-relieving agent.

Doxiproct has an anti-inflammatory effect, reduces bleeding and oozing and leads to rapid relief of pain, burning, itching and tightness in the following conditions: internal and external haemorrhoids, pruritus ani (itching in the anal area) and inflammation in the anal area. On the recommendation of a doctor or pharmacist, Doxiproct can be used for anal fissures and before and after haemorrhoid operations.
