Chlorhexamed 0.1% solution is used for the local treatment of acute inflammatory diseases in the mouth and throat, such as blisters on the oral mucosa (aphthae), inflammation of the gums, oral mucosa and tongue.

Other possible uses: Supportive for sore throats and fungal infections. In cases of restricted normal oral hygiene, e.g. jaw fracture splinting, in manually disabled people, in the presence of tooth-stabilising constructions, braces, inflammation under dentures (e.g. thrush, inflammation of the oral mucosa caused by dentures).

Chlorhexamed 0.1% solution reduces the number of germs in the oral cavity. This improves oral hygiene and reduces the formation of bacterial plaque.
