BlephaCura liposomale Suspension 70 ml

Indications:

Similasan BlephaCura is used for the relief and accompanying treatment of inflammation of the eyelid margins as well as for daily eyelid margin care and hygiene. Similasan BlephaCuraá supports and promotes the natural healing process in cases of inflammation and irritation of the eyelid margins.

Application:

It is recommended to use Similasan BlephaCura twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. Similasan BlephaCura should be applied using lint-free (cotton) cotton pads suitable for eyelid care. To avoid contamination, do not touch any surface with the dropper, especially not the cotton pad. Please drip Similasan BlephaCura onto the cotton pad at a small distance. All crusts and deposits should be thoroughly removed as part of daily eyelid margin care and hygiene with Similasan BlephaCura". It is recommended to apply the product with previously cleaned hands.

Tips for correct application:

• Moisten a cotton pad with Similasan BlephaCuraá
• Moisten the eyelids, especially the edges of the eyelids and the base of the eyelashes, with the moistened cotton pad and gently massage the edge of the eyelid along the upper and lower edge of the eyelid
• Carefully remove any crusts and deposits. To treat the eyelid margins, it is recommended to gently pull the lower eyelid downwards with one finger of the free hand or gently pull the upper eyelid upwards so that the eyelid margin can be easily reached. If necessary, replace the used cotton pad with a fresh one.

Discard the used cotton pads after treating each eyelid, do not use the same cotton pad for both eyelids.

Do not apply Similasan BlephaCuraán directly to the eyes, do not treat the inside of the eyelids or the surface of the eye with the soaked cotton pad.

Contraindications and hypersensitivity reactions:

Similasan BlephaCura should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Potential hypersensitivity reactions may occur in very rare cases in the form of temporary irritation. The (skin) irritations (e.g. redness, swelling) are limited to the area of application and may be accompanied by a burning sensation or itching, for example. They occur acutely, are mild and subside quickly and without consequences after avoiding the preparation.

Background information:

Blepharitis is usually a chronic disease whose treatment and progression can be associated with unpleasant relapses and recurrences and therefore requires careful, daily care. If necessary, it can be helpful to apply warm compresses (37û38 ¦C) to the closed eyelids for approx. 15 minutes before treatment with Similasan BlephaCura so that any existing sebaceous plugs and secretions on the eyelid margins can be liquefied and then easily removed.

Advice:

In case of injuries, infections and/or after surgical interventions on the eye or eyelid, medical advice should be sought before use. Similasan BlephaCura is also suitable for contact lens wearers. It is recommended to insert contact lenses only after use.

Shelf life and storage:

Store in a cool and dry place. Keep out of reach of children. Can be used for 4 weeks after opening. Do not use after the expiry date.
