Bepanthen MED Ointment contains the active ingredient dexpanthenol, which is incorporated into an ointment base with a high fat content. The active ingredient dexpanthenol is converted into the vitamin pantothenic acid in the skin and supports the build-up and regeneration of the skin from the inside out. The high fat content of Bepanthen MED Ointment forms a fine lipid film on the surface of the skin and protects it from external influences and moisture loss.

Bepanthen MED Ointment is used in infant care for the treatment and prevention of nappy rash, for breast care during the breastfeeding period and for the treatment of sore nipples, breast rash, for the prevention and treatment of sore and cracked skin, for skin dryness, to support the healing of wounds and to protect the skin from irritation.to support wound healing and epithelialisation (formation of skin cells) in the case of minor injuries, banal burns and abrasions, skin irritation, for example after UV light and light therapy, chronic ulcers (ulcers), decubitus(ulcers), bedsores, fissures (cracks in the skin and mucous membranes), skin transplants, cervical erosions (defects in the mucous membrane of the cervix) and interval treatments after cortisone therapy.
