Properties

The OPTINOOZ" nasal syringe clears the nasal passages. Allergens, irritants, bacteria, viruses and other impurities are eliminated and at the same time the baby's nasal cavities are moisturised. Regular cleansing improves breathing, sleep and appetite.

Application

From the age of 4 months. 1 to 2 times a day as a preventive measure, 3 to 6 times a day for nasal congestion.

• Clean your hands and then wash the syringe and silicone tip.
• Fill the syringe with saline solution or physiological serum.
• Attach the nasal silicone tip to the syringe.
• Place your child in a sitting position. Taller children can lean over the sink.
• Carefully insert the solution into one nostril. The solution flows through the nasal passages and out of the other nostril.
• Repeat this step in the other nostril.
• Gently wipe the baby's nose. When the child is older, encourage them to gently wipe their nose.

Advice

We recommend the use of a sterile saline solution (0.9% sodium chloride) or a physiological serum. Conventional water is strongly discouraged as this can cause pain and injury to the nasal mucosa.

Volume of saline solution per nostril:

• Between 4 and 6 months: 10 to 15ml
• Between 6 and 12 months: 20ml
• Between 12 and 24 months: 20ml
• From 24 months: 20 to 30ml
