Composition

3 mg L-cysteine, 250 mg xylitol (E967), 224 mg sorbitol (E420), smoke flavouring, anise flavouring, magnesium stearate (E470b), silicon dioxide (E551), per lozenge.

Properties

When smoking cigarettes, a considerable amount of acetaldehyde from the tobacco smoke is released into the saliva. The slowly released L-cysteine in the lozenge can bind the acetaldehyde very effectively in the saliva. This changes the flavour of the cigarette and reduces the enjoyment of smoking. These two effects make it easier for smokers to give up smoking. Contains xylitol, which improves oral health.

How to use

Acetium lozenges should always be taken when you smoke. The lozenge is therefore kept in the mouth for the entire duration of smoking. If you smoke for a longer period of time, you should take another lozenge (max. 40 per day) if necessary. Once you have successfully stopped smoking, the lozenges are no longer needed, as they are only effective while you are smoking.á
